Description
"R" for "Regulator" - the latest trend in the PCP world and a must-have if your goal is to push the performance of your air rifle to the limit. If you've previously owned an unregulated PCP airgun, you've probably already experienced that it had to be filled very carefully to a specific pressure to achieve the highest accuracy.
New technique
The old unregulated PCP solutions with a simple stroke valve made it difficult for a shooter to achieve a sustained and consistent speed between fillings. For the first 10-20 shots, it was more normal than abnormal for the velocity to increase with each shot and then decrease as the pressure in the tank decreased. This is where the regulator helps you achieve a much more consistent speed between your fills.
The regulator is one of many nice details. In addition, the S510R is equipped with a fully silenced Lothar Walther barrel, the famous two-stage trigger, T-bar filling valve, side-lever loading arm, needle-free pressure gauge, and Air Arms' 10-shot magazine, and of course the well-balanced Minelli laminate stock.
Note that the S510 R Ultimate Sporter is Air Arms' 16 Joule version, that offers you more than 90 shots between each fill. The best shot for the S510 R is JSB Exact Diabolo 8.44 grain or equivalent weight class.
