COOKIE STATEMENT

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you access a website. In this section, for practical reasons, we use ‘cookies’ as a collective term for techniques such as cookies, flash cookies and web beacons. They take up little space and disappear automatically when they expire. Some cookies expire at the end of your session, while others are stored for a certain period of time.

WHAT DIFFERENT COOKIES DO WE USE?

There are different types of cookies with different uses. Some of them are just for you to browse the site and see certain features. Others give us an idea of your browsing experience, i.e. when you have trouble finding what you're looking for, so we can improve and make your future visits as enjoyable as possible.

Cookies that we place are called ‘originating website cookies’. Cookies placed by other parties are often called ‘third-party cookies’. Third-party cookies enable third-party content or features on or through the website (e.g. ads, interactive content and analytics). The parties placing these third-party cookies can recognise your computer or mobile phone both when you access that website and when you access certain other websites. We use cookies from the originating website and third-party cookies for several reasons.

The most important cookies are the necessary cookies. They are important because they help you navigate the website and use basic functions. Functionality cookies enable you to save your shopping basket and store your shipping information so you can checkout and pay faster. Performance and analytics cookies are used to improve our website. We also want to show you relevant offers. For this purpose, we collect browsing data, which may be linked to a unique identifier to understand how you interact with our website across different platforms as described in our Privacy Notice. Interaction cookies are used to allow you to interact with social media or submit reviews. Targeting cookies, advertising cookies and social media cookies record your preferences so that you are shown relevant adverts outside our website. In addition, social media cookies can be used to track your activity on social media platforms.

WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?

We mainly use cookies to ensure that your visit to our website is as pleasant as possible and for advertising-related purposes when you visit other websites in the future. Below you can see a more detailed overview of the types of cookies we use and why:

  • Necessary cookies: are essential and help you navigate, move around the website and see certain features (for example, these cookies ensure that your shopping basket is saved throughout the checkout process). These cookies are necessary for the core functionality of the website. These cookies are stored for the duration of the browsing session.
  • Functionality and Analytics cookies: can provide you with an even better customer experience (e.g. these cookies help save and remind you of your shopping basket). These cookies enable us to analyse the use of the website so that we can measure and improve performance. Cookies may be placed by us or a third party on our behalf and are stored for the duration of your browsing session.
  • Advertising and Social Media cookies: remember your product and purchase preferences or help support marketing efforts in other ways. These cookies enable us to share data, such as what you like, with our advertisers so that the adverts you see are more relevant to your preferences (sometimes referred to as ‘targeted cookies’). They help us understand the purchasing behaviour of visitors to our website. This enables us to continuously improve our website to make shopping easier and more enjoyable and to improve the marketing material we send to our customers. They are used so that you can tell us what you think. These cookies allow you to like us or recommend us on social media. But you can also advise our other potential customers by rating and reviewing our products.

HOW DO I DELETE COOKIES?

You can change your browser settings to delete cookies or prevent certain cookies from being placed on your computer or mobile device without your explicit consent. The ‘Help’ tab in your browser contains information on how to manage your cookie settings. See how it works for your browser here:
