Feinwerkbau Airguns

Feinwerkbau Westinger & Altenberger GmbH was founded in the years following World War II by engineers Karl Westinger and Ernst Altenburger and officially registered in 1951. After the re-establishment of the German Shooting Association in 1956, the two founders with experience in weapon design developed the first air rifle with side cocking, fixed barrel and a patented recoilless shot, which caused a sensation in the early 60s and inspired almost all sport shooters. In a very short time, Feinwerkbau broke all records, targets were reduced, and yet Feinwerkbau continued to achieve the highest results. The same happened with air pistols from 1965 onwards.

Thanks to these improvements, Feinwerkbau was instrumental in dramatically improving precision shooting standards worldwide, and the huge demand for their products allowed Feinwerkbau to expand massively in high-precision sporting guns. In the following years, spring-powered airguns, CO2 rifles and pistols, and most recently advanced PCP air rifles and air pistols were produced.

The products from Feinwerkbau are today still some of the most preferred among elite shooters.
