182 years of engineering research and development by Ernest Hill Ltd has brought the EVO-310 - designed, manufactured and assembled by Hill Pumps at its factory in Sheffield, UK.
The Evo 310 offers a number of changes and improvements to how the compressor works, including some great new features that make the compressor even more reliable, durable and with an improved user experience.
Hill has integrated an automatic pressure relief function. This feature is activated whenever the motor of the compressor stops, for example when entering a refrigeration cycle, or when pausing or ending a fill. This not only reduces the load on the motor when it restarts under very high pressure, but also has the added benefit of venting air, including moisture, from the unit. This is particularly important for people filling larger rifles or pressure bottles.
The new device also benefits from Hill's continuous improvements in research and development, including their new extremely durable shuttle valve, which is made from a more solid material. Users should note that the shuttle valve gives the compressor a unique sound compared to other compressors on the market, but they are highly efficient, extremely long lasting and when you hear that sound, you'll immediately know it's a Hill compressor!
Hill has a new, highly accurate digital pressure sensor with an additional analog pressure gauge, which is extremely accurate but also means you no longer need to recalibrate the compressor during a major service.
The Evo 310 can be set as low as 50 bar and up to 310 bar.
The Evo 310 also benefits from a completely new electronic architecture and software. As with all Hill products, the electronics are designed and tested in-house by their own software and electronics engineers, and believe it or not, the circuit boards are also manufactured in Sheffield.
